I’m excited to announce that I am seeking a third term to serve as your Village President. The past six years has provided me with the opportunity to serve with integrity. Although I did not grow up in the Village I love our community. We are on the cusp of being the best municipality in the Northshore. Let’s do it together!
As President of our Village, I have continued to work making sure that Brown Deer is thriving by attracting quality sustainable businesses, housing options, recruiting new homeowners, increasing leadership diversity, prioritizing transparency in governance, partnering with the school district and working with law enforcement to ensure that members of our community feel safe and can take pride in being a part of our village community.
Accomplishments over the past three years:
- Worked collaboratively with the Board to bring on new leadership
- Created and redesigned committees to better align with Village needs
- Helped to assure fiscal health and compliance
- Worked with Village leadership (staff and board) to identify opportunities to improve services for the community
- Ongoing Development
- Partnership with Brown Deer School District
- Initiated a “Welcome to Brown Deer” for new homeowners (now this program is included in the Human Services Committee and expanded)
- Created the First Black History Program in the Village
